Sandra Thier has been working as a UNICEF ambassador for children and their rights since 2010.
For this reason, she travelled with her team to the Congo to report on Child Soldiers, and to Bangladesh to talk about the fate of girls who have been disfigured from acid burns by their husbands from arranged marriages.
Another topic she looked into in detail is how hard children work in the gold mines of Burkina Faso.
